Guillain M. Nabahya

Guillain Maliyamungu Nabahya is a primary and secondary school researcher and specialist in strategies and methods to deliver better learning for all.  In 2017, He embraced renewable clean energy research and innovation to avoid air pollution related diseases, deforestation and climate change. As Congolese local communities are starving, he started with his little brother Aimable S. Nabahya a smart regenerative farming project to tackle severe starvation and inappropriate tillage practices.

Guillain has worked as a teacher at Mwanga High school, and a CEO at Teachers Corporation DRC.



Moses Olayemi

Board Secretary

Moses Olayemi, Ph.D. in Engineering Education at Purdue University, and the sole winner of its prestigious 2022/2023 Bilsland Dissertation Fellowship. His dissertation employs an embedded sequential explanatory mixed methods design to understand culturally relevant engineering education. He also Received an award of best corps member in place of primary assignment during one year compulsory National Youths Service Corps program. His research revolves around the professional development of STEM educators and researchers in low-resource contexts for which he employs culturally relevant pedagogy and the contextualization and validation of measurement instruments with a keen interest in sub-Saharan Africa.

Daniela Bushiri

Board Treasurer

Daniela Bushiri is pursuing her PhD at Columbia University. She is interested in innovating for the food, renewable energy and water nexus. She is a Congolese- South African -American and speaks English and Swahili fluently, while partially speaking Afrikaans, Xhosa and Lingala. She joined Nabahya Food Institute team to improve lives in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
