Guillain M. Nabahya

Board Chairperson

Guillain Maliyamungu Nabahya is a primary and secondary school researcher and specialist in strategies and methods to deliver better learning for all.  In 2017, He embraced renewable clean energy research and innovation to avoid air pollution related diseases, deforestation and climate change. As Congolese local communities are starving, he started with his little brother Aimable S. Nabahya a smart regenerative farming project to tackle severe starvation and inappropriate tillage practices.

Guillain has worked as a teacher at Mwanga High school, and a CEO at Teachers Corporation DRC.

Aimable S. Nabahya

Executive Director

Aimable Shukuru Nabahya is the Co-founder and Director at Nabahya Food Institute. Together with his brother, created the Food institute to honor their father's legacy who was a farmer and ahead of his time. The father spent all his time to develop and train future leaders in the regenerative farming and Permaculture. The institute is committed to bringing smallholder farmers out of the brink of Starvation and social Oblivion. 

Amani Kikala Bosco

Program Officer

Amani Kikala is a Professional in Agricultural Entrepreneurship; and holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Economics from the Official University of Bukavu; with significant experience in developing value chains of milk and market oriented products. Very organized, field man, competent in the development of research in Agribusiness and Business Opportunity Analysis in the Agricultural tropical values and market. Direct experience in supporting young agricultural entrepreneurs in setting up their business plan and structuring their peasant organisations. Having the ability to working under pressure, working in conflict zones, a great capacity for organizing. Assistant lecture in Economics courses at the university UNDT, and actual Programme Officer at Nabahya Food Institute. Speaks and writes well French, English and Swahili.

Agnes Riziki

Women Empowerment Officer

Agnes Riziki is a Researcher in women's economic resilience. She works to create sustainable solutions for women and adolescent girls to increase their chance to access to market, to enjoy job, education, hygiene, safety, high self-esteem and dignity in order to become self-employed and economically self-reliant. 

She graduated in Business Administration at Institut Supérieur de commerce (ISC - Uvira) and held the position of Accountant at Libende Ltd. She held another position of Board Director at Teachers Corporation DRC.

Daniela Bushiri

USA Representative

Daniela Bushiri is pursuing her PhD at Columbia University in Chemical Engineering. She is interested in innovating for the food, renewable energy and water nexus. She is a Congolese- South African -American and speaks English and Swahili fluently, while partially speaking Afrikaans, Xhosa and Lingala. She joined Nabahya Food Institute team as the USA Representative to improve lives in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
